| First Technology China Ltd. (FTCL) was originally formed by the integration PCBA and SMC (semiconductor) business units of Schmidt Electronics Group Limited that has been conducting business in China electronic industry for over 20 years.
On 7 April 2006, FTCL spun off as an independent company. The principle business of FTCL do not change but continue to focus on the technical and sourcing businesses relating to high-end PCBA and Semiconductor industry.
In January 2007, First Technology China Limited was 100％ acquired by Sojitz Corporation. Sojitz Corporation is a sogo shosha (general trading company) created through the merger of Nichimen Corporation and Nissho Iwai Corporation, both of which have over a century of trading business history.
Sojitz conducts its operations in around 50 countries worldwide through roughly 500 consolidated subsidiaries and affiliated companies in Japan and overseas. As of March 2006, Sojitz has a total of 17,213 employees worldwide and a net sales of US$42.5 billion. |
